We Can Do Better
Maintaining Our Peaceful Quality of Life
On the Ad-Hoc Committee for Sensible Airspace, Alison works to protect us from the noise, pollution, and diminishing property values that could result if the FAA routes hundreds of additional flights over Pound Ridge.
Safety and Well Being of Our Families
Cell phone service could be a matter of life or death. Firemen need to be able to communicate with one another in an emergency. Teens can't call us if they need a safe ride home. After 10 years of discussion, Pound Ridgers still lack adequate cell service.
Secure Financial Future
Alison has a proven track record of fiscal discipline necessary to keep taxes low and protect property values. She has a decade of experience as president of a not-for-profit organization, and she served this year as a budget advisor to our school district which produced and passed a responsible, but reduced budget.
Protecting our Drinking Water from Pesticide Contamination
Alison leads a community campaign to protect our wells from the recent pesticide contamination by the Pound Ridge Golf Course.
The Vitality of Our Town
Scotts Corners, where residents meet, shop, and conduct business, is plagued by sewage and water issues and is in poor physical condition. These problems must be addressed to make Scotts Corners a place we can all be proud of.
